Men
Men are considered the lowest of the low. By society's standards, men's only uses are to serve as soldiers or for procreational purposes.
Men have no real emotions as they are all repressed at early ages. Because of this, they have no real inhibitions or goals either. They are taught to thrive off of orders and direction as well as the kill. They are also taught to seek honor by dying for the woman they may serve (for guards especially) or by protecting the faction on the field of battle.
In some cases, men are "owned" by women. In this circumstance, a wife owns her husband and her male children. Occasionally a sister may own her brothers. They can sell the men to be guards or soldiers, sell them off to other women, order them around, and pretty much dictate a man's life. The faction leaders own all the men within the faction and have more power over the men within it than the women who 'own' them. Such as, if a woman wants to sell her husband off as a soldier but the faction steps in and takes him to be a guard, what the faction dictates will be done. The faction never needs to pay for the men. This process of owning men is most often seen in the Sisterhood, and seldom anywhere else.
For procreational purposes, a man may never refuse a woman's advances. A man may never refuse a woman's proposal of marriage. The only exceptions are Guards, Maophaoroh pilots, and those who are already married or engaged. (in the Holy Fallen Empire, this is void as it is a male dominated society).
Men are split into different roles: guards, soldiers, and work force.
Guards are specially chosen men assigned to protect and serve a specific woman, usually a pilot, a noble, or some other woman who can afford to buy them from their owners. The School may pick and choose who it wishes to train to become a guard at will.
Soldiers are most needed by the factions and therefore take up the majority of male occupations. At least ninety percent of men are trained to become soldiers in the school. Those who are not taken away to be a guard or kicked out into the work force are sold into the other factions once a supply has been sent to Maeter Purge.
The Work Force entails mechanics, grocers, farmers, dyers, tailors, and other such general occupations that fuel the economy. They don't make any pay unless they are married men. The majority of the work force is compromised of men that have a disability that does not allow them to fight.
On the occasion there are male nobility, they are treated inferior to the women. Sons of faction leaders are usually married to the daughters of other factions to form alliances, but otherwise, they aren't very useful. Most are sent off to become soldiers or are specially trained to become guards for their sisters.

Women
Women are the supreme and dominant sex of society. They are wiser and more adequate at running government and the factions in general. Women are accredited as sly, ambitious, and ruthless to a fault. They make up the majority of the high standings in society.
Women were left to run the world and they quickly took it over. They are referred to as "lady" by all men and come first in all circumstances.
By women, men are viewed as soldiers or for procreation. Seldom will a woman ever fall in love with a man, and there is no such thing as a woman "hoping one day a man will sweep them off their feet" or even "getting married and settling down to raise a family".
Young girls are sent to the academy where they learn politics, strategy, combat, military protocols, military history, and other such useful subjects. They are then put into different roles concerning their abilities when they have graduated. The nobility are reared to lead the country while those in military are prepped to become captains and generals. Some others attain noble professions through wealth and influence.
The Nobility will eventually lead the factions once the current leader has passed or retired. Otherwise, they remain to influence and achieve what is best for their faction at any costs. They usually have guards to keep them from the dangers of enemy faction assassins. There are male nobility, but they are still considered inferior to the female nobility.
Captains and Generals direct combat either from afar or on the field at certain distances. Some of the braver ones will actually rush out to meet the enemy on the frontlines though this isn't encouraged. Most will fight for factions. Rarely will they ever be at Maeter Purge, though at least two generals are there at all times.
