Summary
It is the year 1843. The Angels have returned back to the hole from whence they came. Civilization is being restored. The Factions are growing.
But unrest remains at the heart of everything.
Reminisce of the war that barely ended a year ago, men are being taken once more from their homes to the Stratorium Academy. Once they graduate, the school instantly sends them to the Maeter Purge where the Angel threat is supposedly restrained. Conspiracy lurks at every corner. Leaders are dying left and right at the hands of untraceable assassins. War only threatens to brew once more.
Will there never be peace?

Roles and Status
WOMEN
Nobility
Nobility is determined by wealth and social status. The highest ranking nobles are the leaders of the faction. A leader chooses who shall take their stead when they die or retire. A leader's position may be challenged in an open and fair duel with the winner attaining leadership status.
Pilots
Pilots are those who have graduated from the academy in the military career.
Soldiers
A woman may not be a soldier unless she is being shamed.
Citizens
Women citizens usually maintain noble professions unless they are absolutley poor. Some may rise from poverty, but it is doubtful they can become nobles.
MEN
Nobility
Male nobles are only made if they were married to or born from noble women. They either become guards, soldiers, or sometimes have high professions such as overseers of mecha creation or other such duties.
Pilots
Only Nephilim may become pilots. They pilot a special mecha called a Maophaoroh. (see Angels below)
Guards
A man whose life is dedicated to the protection and service of a specific woman. They are exceptionally trained in many things and are specifically taught to perform their duties to the utmost. Specially trained guards are in high demand.
Soldiers
The majority of men become soldiers. They fight in varied militaries of different factions or are sent to Maeter Purge. They do not pilot mecha or wear mecha armor. They fight with a variety of weapons from swords to gun blades to heavy artillery.
Citizens
Male citizens are usually the work force. (see Men and Women for more info)
ANGEL
Angels
Angels are the strange alien creatures that crawled out of the Rift and devastated the world. They are humanoid, though they can sometimes posses differences such as pointed ears, wings, tails, glowing eyes, oddly colored skin, etc. They have incredible powers, the limit to the number of their powers varying, though the highest any have ever attained was five.
Nephilim
A Nephilim is a child born from an Angel and a Human. They look exactly like humans. Their only abnormality will involve pointed ears and glowing eyes. They have higher regeneration from injuries and a stronger emotional and mental resilience. They do not have any powers of their own. They are the only males allowed to operate mecha, and they seem to bond with their machines. Nephilim are always used by the Maphaoroh. They are not allowed any other profession.

Mecha
You will still have to look over the Mecha page itself, but here is the basic gist of mecha and what it involves.
Mecha is a mechanical, humanoid construct operated by pilots for the use of combat and warfare. There are exactly three types: Vehicles, Exoskeletons, and Machina.
Vehicles refer to any type of mecha that is heavily built for getting from one place to another while either attacking enemy forces or repelling them. These usually involve tank-like constructs or large vehicles that are relatively animal-like with legs that are operated to 'crawl' or 'run' across terrain. Some vehicles are equipped just to fly or even both.
Exoskeletons are usually designed to be suits of armor that attach to the pilot's body. Though there are some variations, the majority can fly or hover, are equipped with weapons and shields, and have safe guarding mechanisms that prevent the pilot from suffering injury. Usually the torso and head of the pilot are exposed while the giant exoskeleton envelopes the limbs, hips, and wraps around the shoulders and chest area.
Machina are larger, the tallest standing at about ten feet, and envelope the pilot completely. They are more durable and better lasting in heavy combat. Because the Machina encompasses the entire pilot, machines can pump nutrients and such directly into the pilot itself, allowing the pilot to operate the Machina for weeks to months on end without rest or ever leaving it. Machina are the most advanced, the most expensive, and also the least common of all mech. Because of this, they are assigned to a pilot for the endurance of their life and cannot be used by any other faction except the Maophaoroh for the purpose of containing the Angel threat.
People may own exoskeletons and vehicles at will, so long as they have a proper budget for it. A budget is constantly recorded and updated for each character. Your character may buy, repair, and upgrade their mecha as long as they want so long as it fits their budget. If you go over the budget, you will not be allowed to use the mecha. This only concerns those who are not connected to Nobility or the Maophaoroh. You may always sell your mecha and buy a new one if you like. The reason for a budget is so that we maintain some order. It would be chaos if everyone had super incredibly hyped up mechas with incredible upgrades and the best weapons ever. The budget will not be affected by trivial purchases. The budget only involves the bulk of your funds. However, if you do by a mansion, your budget may be reduced. The budget will increase with battles you fight in or any tourneys you partake and win at.
Repairs must be made to mecha after battles or the mecha will become destroyed and unusable. ("Well, I don't want to do that!" you say, flailing your arms. "It's so complicated"). After a battle (or a series of battles if they occur close to each other), notify Niitari or a moderator. They will skim your posts, then tell you the amount needed for repairs. You may pay the entire thing or only pay for a few repairs at a time. If only repairing bit by bit, do note the state of your mech's damage which will appear on the mech's bio sheet. All you have to do is look at the amount it will cost, then you can either just tell Niitari or a mod that you wish to make repairs, or if you like, you can roleplay your person going to the appropriate mechanics and getting the repairs. Whatever floats your boat.
Upgrades are always available. Be sure to check the specifications to make sure you can afford such upgrades and that the upgrades are useable by your mech. They are located on the Mecha Guide page as well.

Stats
Stats are the various skills and statistics of an individual. These include strength, agility, charisma, and many more. An individuals stats may influence the outcomes of battles, decisions, or even basic performance at everyday things.
Stats Include:
Strength: the ability to exert great force. Physical strength can come in handy, especially when fighting. Mental strength is useful, for example, when someone is trying to persuade you or an Angel attempts to use a certain mental power on you like illusions.
Speed: the velocity at which something moves. In human and animal case, it includes how fast one can run, dodge, react, or attack. Speed is necessary if one wishes to survive. It doesn't only aid in flight, but also in a fight.
Agility: is the ability to change the body's position efficiently, and uses a combination of balance, coordination, speed, reflexes, strength, endurance and stamina. As you can see, agility includes quite a few other skills. The higher those skills are, the higher your agility will be too, and vice versa. Agility is best seen through the art of parkour, where one can run up walls, jump from roof to roof, run along telephone wires, or even something like dodge throwing knives.
Accuracy: the precision needed to achieve a goal. This is best seen in archery. If one has enough accuracy when firing an arrow, they will hit the center of the target. Accuracy is also used in fighting with any weapons. Accurately hitting an opponent will result in dealing the damage you want to at the spot you aimed for.
Flexibility: the ability to adapt, to bend without breaking, to change without resistance. Flexibility covers quite a wide range of things, from something tangible such as bending backwards to something less tangible, such as learning to adapt to ones surroundings. If you were suddenly thrust into a very cold room, and if your flexibility was high, you wouldn't be cold for very long and would get rather used to it, unlike someone with low flexibility who would freeze.
Stamina: to exert oneself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue. It doesn't matter how hard or long someone hits you, you have the energy and will to keep on going. Your body will also heal very well.
Luck: is good fortune which occurs beyond one's control, without regard to one's will, intention, or desired result. The higher your luck, the more likely you will be able to complete near impossible tests, defeat powerful foes, solve mind-boggling puzzles, and even have certain things just so happen to turn out well for you.
Intellect: the ability of the mind to come to correct conclusions about what is true or real, and about how to solve problems. Stupid people will probably die first. It's good to know things, such as battle techniques, quick medical treatment, how to escape danger, etc. Intellect will also help you discern who's your enemy and who's your friend. Keep your intellect high: the more you know, the more you will be able to do. Those with higher intellect are usually faster at reading auras than others.
Charisma: the compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others. This is very helpful, especially when trying to rally others to your cause. It is also useful to get information that would otherwise be restricted, or to influence people to join your side in a fight. Many with high charisma usually become renowned leaders and very dangerous individuals.
Synchronization: the relation that exists when things occur at the same time. It relates to how in synch a pilot is with their mech. Wether it is a vehicle, exoskeleton, or full blown machina, synchronization is very important. The more synched a pilot is with the mech, the faster the responses, the more in tune with movements they become, and the more effective they are on the field of battle.
Power: Power refers to angels primarily. Likened to a mecha's charge (below), it will determine determines how limited their powers can be. An Angel with a lot of power could probably level entire forests by making a giant fire blast. An Angel with a low power could probably just shoot a couple fireballs at a time from their hands. Power is increased through usage of those powers, mostly by training and fighting.
Durability: the power to resist stress or force. Refers to mecha and how long they can last under heavy fire or how long they can run for at a given time without wearing down. Mecha can only resist so much impact before heavy dents and even breakage begins to show.
Charge: is refering to mecha only and can be likened to their battery life. There is only so much output energy they can give for so much time. Depending on how high or low their charge is will determine what they can or cannot do. For example, a mecha with a low charge couldn't shoot a highly powerful cannon for very long, maybe able to shoot off two blasts or so before its energy goes down. A mecha with a high charge could probably shoot the cannon all day.
HUMANS (and Nephilim) HAVE

More on achieving Stat points later. Hint: the more you roleplay, the more likely your stats will be higher.
But why on earth would I want stat points?
Ah, the never ending why questions. There are many reasons why stat points are important, but let me give you an example.
Who's gonna win: the kung fu master or the couch potato?
Stats help you gauge your skills and better predict who may win in a fight.
Who's gonna escape from the prison: the ninja or the large man built like a rhino?
Stats help you gauge what you can or cannot do. A ninja could sneak out quietly, but maybe the large rhino man would have better luck just clobbering the guards on his way out.
Just a few examples. I know I use fighting a lot for my examples, but that's the point of action and adventure rps.
NOTE: After you join, Niitari will randomly assign Stat points which can then be viewed on your character's info. Talk to Niitari about how to raise your Stat points or if you have any questions about them.

RP Properly
This is an advanced roleplay site. That means:
No text talk. Ie: "lol" "omg" "totes oz" "this sux" etc.
Use quotation marks. Do NOT use asterisks. Ie: /She ran into the forest after him./ AND NOT /*runs into forest after him* Yo wait up! *sighs*/
Roleplay everything in third person. Ie: /She ran into the forest after him./ AND NOT / I run into the forest after him./ OR /I run into the forest after you./ OR /She runs into the forest after you./
No emoticons in the middle of roleplay. Ie: :) :D >.< :P
Use proper spelling and grammar. Ie: /She ran into the forest after him./ AND NOT /Hse run itno the forest after mih./
Make posts detailed. Ie: /She ran into the forest after him, her heart pounding in her chest, threatening to explode. She hoped he actually knew where he was going, and not about to lead her off a cliff. Worse yet, he was from an enemy faction; what if he was planning to kill her?/ AND NOT /She ran into the forest after him./
Post minimum action so the response time is easier. Ie:
Donnie: Donnie stabbed at Opal.
Opal: Opal dodged and swung her axe at his head.
But remember to put in more detail! More detail doesn't always mean more action.
Ie: Donnie glared at Opal through narrowed eyes, the blade firmly in his hand. With a lightning fast movement, he lunged at Opal with his knife, carving a streak of silver through the air.
Make sure you take your time when typing a post. Even in the middle of a tense action scene. You do NOT want to rush things and throw too much stuff in at once. It will just make everyone confused. And for the love of platypus, do NOT have run on sentences!
Ie: Opal sat down and started braiding her hair and it was shiny gold and shone beautifully. And then she saw Donnie glaring at her and thought, Wow, what's his problem? Did I do something bad? She jumped to her feet and glared back and stomped her foot and glared daggers at him. "Stop glaring at me, ugh so annoying!" Then she saw the dagger he had and started to freak. "Ok, please put it down now please, no don't do that you're scaring me!" Then he lunged at her and she flipped back over her chair and out of his way and grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer and turned to face him and glared and readied herself like in defense classes.
Are you confused? This isn't nearly as bad as some people get, but pretty close. Take things slowly. There are at least five ways that post could be rewritten, with all that information in there, and be legible and easy on the mind.
And finally; no god modding [ie 1] (making your character all powerful/controlling RP). Tone things down a bit. And please don't make your character's action or speech dramatized [ie 2]. This is not an anime show.
Ie 1: Donnie lunged at Opal so fast she had no time to react. He called up a thousand undead soldeirs and had them attack her. While she was distracted, and with his overpowering strength and speed, he stabbed her fifty times over, rendering her near death.
Ie 2: Ruby walked in, sparkles gleaming all around her, her hair blowing in the breeze from the window. She blew kisses at the boys, hearts flying about the room. Then she saw that Donnie killed Opal and did a double take. Throwing her hands in the air, she ran around the room screaming, "Donnie! What did you doooo!!!!!"
Remember these tips. Seriously, they're not that hard to remember.
